Subject: Can not send email due to spell checker error
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes Client
Technical Area: Error Message
Platform: Linux client - Ubuntu
Release: Beta 2
Reproducible: Always
Everytime I try to send a message, I get a popup with "Error loading spell checker engine"
I can only accept it, and I'm back to the message. There is no option to disable spell checking, so effectively I can't send any email at all.
According to the release notes, this is due to a missing libstdc++, yet on my system I have:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 2008-08-21 15:14 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5 -> libstdc++.so.5.0.7
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 737624 2007-01-03 14:47 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.5.0.7
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 2008-07-02 06:51 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6 -> libstdc++.so.6.0.8
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 909044 2006-12-10 10:45 /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.8
It is also said that missig libstdc++ will prevent attaching files, but I can perfectly attach any file.
The problem was not occuring with Beta 2. I have removed 8.5 beta 1 and the user dir before upgrading to beta 2.
Any help or suggestion to be able to at least send email (ex: disabling spellchecking engine) would be appreciated
Guylhem
